Another night, another sparse fridge. I really need to plan some meals and go shopping, but in the meantime here's an old standby. Darlene posted her take on the Macaroni and Cheeze recipe from Very Vegetarian a while back. Tonight I made it straight from the book (which is very similar); although I don't think we've ever made it with macaroni - tonight it was with pennette. I added some peas like we usually do, plus some seitan that I chopped and fried in olive oil with a little garlic.

Hi there, I just found your blog recently and am enjoying reading all about the various foods you create.
I'm a newcomer to vegan cuisine and cooking, but I tried something new today which I wrote about HERE. I think it came out well and it looked really good, too.
Oh man that looks good.
Looks delicious, especially with the seitan and peas! We love our mac-no-cheese too, though we try not to make it too often since it's a bit fattening. But man, is it good...
I'll have to try it with seitan next time!
yum. It's been too long since I've made this~ I'm having a pasta dish tonight, so I'll try to put off the craving.
eve - welcome and thanks for the recipe.
Likewise Jim - that sounds really good...
